Its a tradition for me to participate in the JMG-galeries best of the year list and this year is no different… Like previous years it was difficult to select the best ones so I just selected the ones that matter to me the most… Checkout the best of 2014 and 2013 too! Or watch the accompanying video posts 2014 and 2013

2015 was a good year! Looking back I did not make as much trips as the previous years, but somehow the quality got better as the quantity dropped. Looking back I can certainly see the lessons I learned this year. Post-processing ones but also in image quality and how to prepare for that in-camera. Oh right the investment in two ‘new’ 2.8 lenses probably made a difference too 😉 I do find there’s more variety in my techniques and compositions. I have gotten interested in lense compression and am now in the market for a better long lense.  I hope that 2016 will bring a camera upgrade as well. Still not sure which one though. Anyway lets sit back and relax and have a look back at 2015…

Here are my top 5 images (in no particular order)of this year and scroll down and check the Year in images-video I made just for you.

Happy holidays, enjoy and let me know your favorite in the comments!

This image was featured in my blogpost http://www.martijnvandernat.nl/on-my-way/ I pass this windmill every day, and I love how the yellow rapeseed in the bank of the ditch creates this colorful line of yellow leading towards the windmill. That and the lovely clouds to me invited me to try and capture this image. Hope you like!
